Flexible Methyl Cellulose/Polyaniline/Silver Composite Films with Enhanced Linear and Nonlinear Optical Properties

In order to potentiate implementations in optical energy applications, flexible polymer composite films comprising methyl cellulose (MC), polyaniline (PANI) and silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) were successfully fabricated through a cast preparation method. The structure of the film was confirmed by X-ray diffraction infrared spectroscopy, indicating successful incorporation AgNPs into MC/PANI blend. scanning electron microscope (SEM) images have indicated homogenous loading dispersion parameters such as band gap (Eg), absorption edge (Ed), number carbon cluster (N) Urbach (Eu) pure MC polymer, blend MC/PANI/Ag determined using UV absorbance. effects PANI on linear (LO) nonlinear (NLO) including reflection extinction coefficient, refractive index, dielectric constant, susceptibility are studied. results showed decrease MC/PANI/AgNPs compared film. Meanwhile, estimated enhanced with AgNPs. inclusion has properties providing new suitable for conversion systems, solar cells, biosensors, applications.
